Description The Mallinckrodt Phonate Speaking Valve is trach speaking valve. It is designed to awake tracheostomy patients who can breathe without assisted mechanical ventilation. It directs airflow past the vocal chords to facilitate speech. It permits easier vocalization without finger occlusion that may cause hygiene and infection concerns. It is available without oxygen port.
