Description Protect against bacterial contamination and penetration using The Acticoat Absorbent Dressing manufactured by Smith & Nephew. It features a nanocrystalline silver coating that within 30 minutes kills a broad spectrum of bacteria. An ACTICOAT Silver dressing is made of 3 layers. One absorbent inner core which is in between 2 silver layers. It is indicated for use in light to moderately exuding partial and full-thickness wounds, including pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, surgical incisions, first and second degree burns, and donor sites. It may be used over debrided and partial thickness wounds. ACTICOAT Surgical is an absorbentpost-operative dressing consisting of a Nanocrystalline Silver-coated layer, a foam pad and an adhesive coated waterproof film. It also provides an effectivebarrier to bacterial penetration for up to 7 days.
